ICMR Professor Recruitment Notification 2025, Application Closing Date 2 June

The Indian Council of Medical Research New Delhi has announced the recruitment notice for the facility positions. The last date for submission of the application is 2 June 2025. This organisation mainly deals with biomedical/ health research and other areas. The facility positions are for the need value headquarters. There are a total of 16 vacancies for associate professor and assistant professor.

They release notifications for departments like cardiology, psychiatry, neurology, nephrology, transfusion, GI medicine, CTVS, and other departments. As per the recruitment, the Indian Council of Medical Research ICMR has released the notification with the eligibility, experience requirements and essential qualifications for different posts. All the candidate required excellent experience in teaching to fulfil their criteria of selection. All the vacancies of professor associate professor and assistant professor are categories as per General, OBC and SC categories. 

The candidate required at least 3 years of teaching experience as a tutor or as a senior resident in their particular field and super speciality from the recognised teaching Institute. Required Qualification For ICMR Posts

Professor Eligibility

• For the post of Professor MBBS degree from the recognised Institute as per the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
• The postgraduate degree must be required in specialized courses like cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
  Psychiatry doctor of medicinal psychiatry and doctor of medicine psychological medicine.
• The candidate required 12 years of practical and administrative experience.
• They will not consider the teaching experience of a general duty medical officer or medical officer.

Associate Professor Requirements

• For this post, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBBS degree is required from the authorised Institute
• A postgraduate degree in neurology cardiology cardiotherapy radiology are required.
• At least five years of experience as a senior resident or tutor is required to register for the post.

Qualification For Assistant Professor

• Required MBBS degree and the postgraduate degree in radiotherapy and vascular surgery, gastro medicine, nephrology, surgical Oncology, gastro surgery with 2 years of special training in surgical gastroenterology, transfusion medicine with two years teaching experience or specialised training in blood transfusion and immuno haematology department.
• The other postgraduate courses are radiology and neurology.
  This post requires at least 3 years of teaching experience as a tutor or senior resident.

Age Requirement

• For the post of professor and associate professor, the age requirement should not exceed more than 50 years.
• They provide the relaxation for the SC ST OBC government servant, EtPwbd as per the central government order.
• The minimum age requirement for the assistant professor is 40 years and the age relaxation is given for the SC ST OBC government servant and EtPwBD candidate.

• In the first round, they will select the candidate with minimum eligibility with age education qualification and experience.
• If the number of candidates is more then they will again shortlist the candidate in the second round.
• Then they will make the final merit and call the candidates for the interview who are with the higher experience in there relevant field with the higher education qualification.
